Landscape Vessel No:4
The inside of this vessel has been glazed thickly with a black glaze which has a rough texture to represent the textures found on the craggy rocks. The black glaze has almost split and peeled off in certain areas towards the rim.
I’m often found experimenting with different glazes to produce interesting surfaces. Occasionally, I apply glazes quite thickly to create a blistered or bubbly effect or I may overlay glazes which also gives me interesting results and an attractive finish.
The widest part is near the base of the vessel which measures approx 13cm in width. The vessel becomes narrow towards the top which measures approx 7.5cm in diameter.
This is a standalone art piece and does not hold water.
Stoneware black clay, high fired.
Measurements approx (H22cm x W13cm)
Care instructions: Please take care when handling this product. The blisters can occasionally burst, this is the effect of the glaze. If this happens, all it needs is a little light sanding by hand to remove any sharp edges.
